PROJEKT: DAILY STORIES, 2008

An interior bears testimony about its inhabitants; various little stories or situations take place in a flat. Banal situations occur again and again, the most ordinary moments intersect with vital ones, a person feels lonely as well as a part of a larger whole. What is happening under the surface of daily situations? What subtle changes occur in the actions and mutual relationships? How much do we see and how much do we suspect? What is going to happen now and what is going to happen later on? What is reality and what is a reality show? Linking the selected photos into a time loop creates multidimensional portraits. Portraits expanded by the dimension of movement and personal interior. A day or a part of a day has been condensed into a short moment. Only a concentrated, somewhat rhythmical section representing time sectors of various lengths remains. Incessant repetitions cause particular personal moments to become timeless. The final composition of two or three interior-connected actions without culmination, actions without a point creates a sort of a microstory - a mosaic of a multidimensional portrait of a person or a family.
